Church of the Harvest was founded on October 18, 2009, in Elmont, New York.

Matthew 9:36-38 says, “But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

The implied meaning of Jesus’ words in verses 36-38, is that there are multitudes of people who are ready to be gathered into the Kingdom of God with the right kind of help.

We have chosen our name so that we can always remember that we are to create a never ending cycle of evangelism, spiritual growth and development, discipleship, and service in our communities. The job of the church is to constantly reveal who Jesus is, so that the lives of people can be changed and grow, regardless of the gates of hell.
